Son

Son is the first tabloid to be published in Afrikaans.The newspaper is based on the British tabloids such as The Sun and focuses on news, scandal, gossip, entertainment, sport, and exposés. Son is distributed daily from Monday to Friday in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape. Sondag-Son is published on a Sunday in the same areas. Son is the biggest selling Afrikaans daily in the country and also the biggest selling newspaper in the Western Cape. Son is aimed at the coloured proletariat of the Western and Eastern Cape. The newspaper's slogan is "Son Sien Alles (Son Sees Everything)"
