Via Afrika Publishers, with over 40 years’ experience in publishing, is one of the leading educational publishers in all South Africa’s official languages and in all new learning areas. In 2005 it acquired the education publishers Juta/Gariep and in 2007 the Smile Education business which specialises in the design of educational toys and games for schools and the home market. The imprint Van Schaik Publishers publishes academic textbooks for the tertiary market in print and electronic formats.
