Disabled kids get shiny new wheels

Thanks to Die Burger Eastern Cape's partnership with the A-Bay Wheelchair Wednesday campaign, fifty wheelchairs were collected for disabled kids. Businesses were asked to not only sponsor wheelchairs but to experience first-hand what it's like being physically disabled. Die Burger Eastern Cape general manager André Olivier was one of the participants who spent at least four hours every Wednesday during May in a wheelchair. Kids from Cape Recife, Lonwabo, Northern Lights, Ithemba and APD day-care centres, Miracle Kids and Lingetods benefited from the project.
