Top sport ad on TV – the public will decide

The public will play a vital role in the allocation of one of South African sport's most prestigious Awards, thanks to a new partnership between the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards and Sports Illustrated South Africa. The final decision on the next winner of the coveted Award for Best TV Sport Commercial will be decided by the general public through an online vote on www.sportsIllustrated.co.za in January. Last year's winner was Absa for the bank's Springbok 'Team of Millions' advertisement. The awards ceremony will take place in Johannesburg on 7 February 2013.

Sports Illustrated SA will be the Official Media Partner of both the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards and the Sport Industry Summit which will be staged in Johannesburg on 25 October 2012. Visit www.sportindustry.co.za for more information.
