SARIE KOS sets the culinary trend with new food editor

20 January 2017

A decade ago SARIE launched SARIE KOS to fill an obvious gap in the market for honest Afrikaans food with a modern twist. The magazine was an instant winner and with its 50th issue coming up soon things are about to be spiced up.

SARIE food editor and well-known television personality Herman Lensing will now also take over the reins at SARIE KOS. His love of food and exceptional creativity will be tangible in the new quarterly stand-alone issues of SARIE KOS.

Under Herman’s guidance SARIE KOS will focus on hot and happening food, while celebrating trusted favourites.

It will tell stories of local food heroes shaping our culinary scene (not forgetting favourite international foodies) and provide ideas for easy weekend entertaining and quick weekday solutions. Recipes for healthy eating and special dietary requirements, for diabetics in particular, will not be forgotten.

With Herman – who was recently named one of the Mail & Guardian’s 200 young South Africans to watch and is the author of two popular recipe books – SARIE KOS will truly be a food magazine for 2017: trendy, budget-conscious, practical, beautiful and with just a hint of nostalgia.
