We offer bursaries each year for postgraduate studies in journalism at Wits, NWU, Stellenbosch or Rhodes Universities, or to students in software engineering. To find out more, please enquire at these journalism schools or the other universities directly. We do not offer financial assistance for any other students and not to any other undergraduate studies.
Media24 does not provide funding for start-ups, new businesses or new media product launches, and very seldom considers partnerships not initiated by one of the respective business divisions. Decisions related to media partnerships for major events have been decentralised; kindly contact the business units / publications / channels directly.
We are also not considering any business proposals aimed at broadening our current portfolio of media products.

Internships and job shadowing:
Media24 does not have a formal programme for either. Please contact a publication / business unit in your area directly, to find out whether they can accommodate you.
Media24 as a corporate do not do corporate or staff gifting, the publications have access to permanently employed and in-house design, marketing and TV production facilities, we have an in-house building management and maintenance department (also responsible for the cleaning services) and existing and long-standing technology and IT-related services/contracts with vendors (including for the disposal of ewaste). The procurement is decentralised and the corporate office is not involved in the decision-making, nor do we forward any unsolicited proposals to departments/divisions from this mailbox.

Please send queries or proof to the department/person listed on the invoice. The corporate office has no access to the operational units’ systems or their financial records and are therefore unable to process the remittance or forward to the relevant division.
All competitions, events and special offers are run by the operational divisions independent of the corporate office and we also do not have access to their calendar nor their systems. Media24 Lifestyle has an online shop which sells magazines from our main portfolio, as well as standalone / brand extensions and other special-interest publications (e.g. blockbusters). Visit the shop here, or contact them at shop@media24.com.
Our programme is decentralised and resides with the respective operational divisions, with long-term and formal initiatives that are focused on the themes of education and literacy (linked to the official school curriculum), as well as food security (feeding schemes and community gardens) in underserved communities nationally. The programme is linked to our staff-run #1000ActsOfKindness program and Volunteers24, which allows all staff three days’ paid leave annually for volunteer work. Our aim is to support organisations in kind (time and helping in person), hence we unfortunately do not make any cash donations.
Media24 as a corporate does not provide sponsorships for events or projects outside the scope of our existing social impact initiatives mentioned above, and neither do we as a corporate enter into media partnership agreements on behalf of our brands.
Send requests for back copies of magazines for charity events and fundraisers to yumna.tofey@media24.com at the Lifestyle division. Please note that the bulk of our magazine portfolio is now published two monthly and no longer monthly. As a result, there are only small quantities of unsold / back copies of magazines available for donations. Requests are processed on a first come first served basis and are highly dependent on availability and the nature of your event/project.
Shareholders of Welkom Yizani accepted Media24’s cash offer to buy out all the shares at a special general meeting held on 22 January 2021. The transaction has been concluded, Welkom Yizani was delisted from the Equity Express Securities Exchange (EESE) and the scheme unwound.
